We hear this question often — and it’s a smart one to ask!
The truth is, you should join the Chamber (or Chambers) that aligns with your goals, offers meaningful services, and fits your budget.
As you consider your options, here are a few important factors to weigh:
Who Are Their Members?
Ontario County Chamber proudly represents more than 500 members from Ontario, Monroe, Seneca, Wayne, Yates, Livingston, Steuben, and Schuyler counties - and beyond! Our diverse membership creates valuable networking opportunities and regional connections for your business.
Who Leads the Organization?
Our 14-member Board of Directors includes respected leaders from a wide range of industries across Ontario County. The Chamber employs two full-time and one part-time staff member dedicated to serving our members and advancing our business community. Plus — there are plenty of volunteer and leadership opportunities to get involved!
How Is a Chamber Different from Other Business Groups?
Unlike a Downtown Merchants Association, Business Improvement District, or Destination Marketing Organization, a Chamber of Commerce works to support businesses of all sizes and industries, advocate for pro-business policies, foster workforce development, and drive economic growth countywide. (Our County has those other organizations, too. All are great resources.)
What Events, Trainings, and Networking Opportunities Are Available?
We host dozens of events every year — from $5 networking mixers to golf tournaments, business workshops, and community forums. Members enjoy exclusive discounts on most events open to the public and access to member-only programs.
What Are Their Dues and Fees?
Chamber membership should deliver excellent value for your investment. At Ontario County Chamber, most members pay less than $1 per day (based on FTE count) for full access to valuable resources, programs, and connections.
How’s Their Website and Social Media Presence?
We’re proud of our interactive, user-friendly website at ONChamber.com. We invite you to join our more than 6,000 followers on Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram for the latest business updates, events, and resources.
Do They Publish Quality Guides and Resources?
We publish Ontario County Magazine, a guide that showcases the best of our region for residents, visitors, and prospective businesses.
What Member Benefits and Business Resources Are Offered?
Members enjoy access to a range of valuable benefits designed to help you save money, promote your business, and build lasting connections, including:
